On March 6, 2024, on the eve of International Women’s Day, a meeting took place between Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Belarus Evgeny Lavrinenko and the Japanese traditional dance group “Manjushaka”.

During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation were discussed, as well as issues of organizing performances in Belarus and Japan.

As part of the event, the artistic director of the dance group, Fujinaka Kiyoe (stage name — Mama Rose), was given a congratulatory card from the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko.

The “Manjushaka” dance group was organized in 1995.
Since the late 1990s, the creative team has performed in Belarus several times (most recently in 2021), including in regions affected by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The head of the dance group, K. Fujinaka, provides friendship and bilateral cultural exchange with Belarus, and for many years she has hosted Belarusian children from regions affected by the Chernobyl disaster free of charge.
