of Minsk city delegation

of Minsk City Executive Committee Mrs.Zhanna Birich
on May 31-June 5, 2015
Within the framework of the visit by the delegation of Minsk city headed by the Deputy Chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee Mrs.Zhana Birich to the cities of Tokyo and Sendai Belarus-Japan Business Forum in Tokyo and business meetings with the leadership of Sendai city took place.
The main goal of the events was to present the economic potential and investment attraction of Minsk city and its enterprises, scientific potential of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, establishment of mutually beneficial contacts between business circles of Belarus and Japan.
According to the program the delegation visited “Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City”, had a tour to Sendai regions suffered from tsunami of 2011, visited Tohoku University and secondary school Yagiyama (in Sendai twin school of Minsk gymnasium #19).
Within the Business Forum in Tokyo and business meetings in Sendai City Council and Sendai CCI the members of the Belarusian delegation held B2b meetings with the representatives of more than 70 Japanese companies on the issues of cooperation in the spheres of science, education, investments, innovation technologies, technique, food products. Japanese participants had the opportunity to taste the organic birch water of the CJSC “Minsk Soft Drink Factory”.
