
On August 6, 2021, Counsellor of the Belarusian Embassy Pavel Lychkouski attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing of the city in 1945.
Among the ceremony’s participants were the leadership of the Japanese government, Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima City, city residents, including hibakusha and their descendants, as well as the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Japan.
On the eve of the event the representative of the Belarusian diplomatic mission laid flowers at the Cenotaph for A-bomb Victims in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
Previously on July 19, 2021, in the crypt of the Memorial Temple in honor of All Saints in Minsk a solemn ceremony to shelve capsules with soil from Hiroshima and Nagasaki was held.
