Events on the occasion of Victory Day

On May 6, 2022 Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Japan Ruslan Esin together with the heads of the Embassies of the CIS countries accredited in Japan laid flowers on the tomb of Richard Sorge, a Hero of the Soviet Union.

“The Belarusians stood shoulder to shoulder with other nations of the Soviet Union to defend their homeland, showing courage and heroism on the battlefields. The Belarusians are proud of the veterans, the heroes of the Great Victory, and keep alive the memory of all those who gave their lives for a peaceful future,” noted the diplomat during the event.

On the same day the Embassy of Belarus in Japan hosted the opening of the photo exhibition “Remember the Heroes of the Great Victory,” dedicated to the Year of historical memory and the 77th anniversary of the Victory.
