Belarus and Japan completed bilateral negotiations on Belarus’ accession to the WTO

On 27 April 2017 the protocol on the completion of bilateral negotiations between the Republic of Belarus and Japan in the framework of Belarus’ accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) was signed in Geneva. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Belarus the document was signed by the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Yury Ambrazevich, on behalf of the Government of Japan by the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Junichi Ihara.

 

Belarus’ accession to the WTO will lead to  further expansion of trade and investment cooperation between the countries. Japan became the twelfth WTO Member, with which Belarus concluded bilateral negotiations on accession to the organization.
